So Terygon, you're an anime fan right? I started downloading Sailor Moon (in Japanese, uncut) and Sailor Moon Live-action (also in Japanese) and watching them [img]smile.gif[/img] Gotta admit, it's a lot of fun!
And Sailor Moon's theme song is completely different in English! Lmao!

Yup, you got it! It's live except for the talking cat (Luna) and some of the monsters. Actually her costume is toned down a little [img]rolleyes.gif[/img] and the "fight" sequences are better than the animation ones...

Cats you should see if you can find Kannazuki no miko online I got lent VCD's of it but I think it was fansubs.

Shoujo-ai plus giant mecha

The love triangle story was reminiscent of SIP, I totally cried alot at the end. ( [img]graemlins/hmmm.gif[/img] Although so far I've cried during, Noir, Cowboy Bebop, Nausicaa and Voices of a Distant Star)

IMHO it's not illegal or immoral if you don't try to make a buck off the download. After all, I've already seen most of the Sailor Moon eps on TV [img]smile.gif[/img] so they've gotten their revenue off me.

OK, I'm getting into this topic kind of late, but my name was in the first post so:

Anime: Yes, love good anime, think the bad stuff is, well, bad. Sailor Moon is fine, not my favorite, but not the spawn of the Accursed One that some of my friends think it is. Manga's better, but still rather repetive. The Japanese beats the English all to ... the home of the accursed one. IMHO. Never managed to see the live action, but would grab the chance if offered.

Perverted stuff: My only problem is most of it is written badly. And lacks originality. Two problems. My two problems are most of it is written badly, and lacks originality. I like to think that my perverted stuff is better (never done an actual Sailor Moon one, but I do have one based on the concept) but that's for others to judge.

Pirating: illegal or not, I'm generally against unofficial distribution of licensed material for reasons that have probably been discussed elsewhere better.

Kannazuki no miko: sounds interesting. I've been out of touch with the new stuff since I got a job that had me working on our meeting days (and at the time I had no net access). Would be interested in hearing more about it.

My favorite stuff: for the above mentioned reasons, it's older stuff. This is in no particular order.

Synopsis:

Gentle Himeko and reserved Chikane were born into very different backgrounds, but still became the best of friends. Their fates, they would soon come to discover, are intertwined in a fashion that they can't possibly imagine -- they are the reincarnations of two priestesses who once sealed the god of darkness Orochi in their past lives. Set to revive again, his giant robot-riding agents have set out to destroy the girls, one of whom is Himeko's friend who is in love with her. Riddled with memories of their past lives, the two try to survive long enough to cast the seal on Orochi again...

Story: 6 / 10
I loved the beginning of this anime, despite its unoriginality and repetitious sequence of events. I also loved the plot twist, which opens up an entirely different course for the anime to take. But no, I HATED the ending...with a mad passion. However, I hated it in a way that was good; in a discplined way enough to say that Kannaduki no Miko holds its ground as a truly suteki Shoujo-Ai anime.

Priestesses of the Godless Moon. (Who could hate a title like this?)

The sun rises with Himeko, as the moon, Chikane, embraces her. These two, both in different status at school, are the reincarnations of legendary shrine maidens that sealed an evil god long ago. At last, their fate awaits them, as the evil being returns to destroy the world once again. With the helpful effort of Himeko`s crush, these two follow the painful path to rescue the world - even at the sacrifice of their own love.

Nobody could suspect at first that this anime would get that complicated. I didn`t expect much after the first episode, since it was apparent where the story would lead for the next 5 or so episodes. Then suddenly, around episode 7, I realized a possible path the anime could lead, and it goes down that path. Following along, it takes some routes that I would never have considered, and by the end I sat and digested all of the drama that came pouring out. The series is so loaded with directions that it becomes thought-provoking, which is one of the reasons why I still give the story a lot of credit.

Unfortunately, the biggest mishap in the story comes from the lack of story behind scenes involving Oogami and Chikane. It`s almost as if they were ghosts to one another; there was no way to connect them. Thus, the story suffered everytime they were in a scene together

Since all anime is new to me, and since they all look alike on the surface, it's good to get a clue as to what's ok and what's drek [img]smile.gif[/img]
Which ones have cat-people in them???
